HELM HOLDING WLL (HELM) is an investment company with holdings in the construction, heavy industry, real-estate and agricultural sectors. HELM is an active investor, providing financial and strategic support to its operating companies. By centralizing back office operations within HELM, its operating entities are able to take advantage of a more sophisticated management system and information technology infrastructure, deeper supply chain and higher caliber resources than they could individually with their own dedicated overheads.
HELM is the inevitable outcome of an expanding line of businesses and a leadership focused on optimization. At the heart of this expansion is our core business – heavy civils. To ensure delivery of our public works contracts with the specified Quality and within the established Budget and Schedule, we began expanding into specialized segments of the supply chain. These divisions grew into full-fledged independent businesses with their own dedicated management teams and ultimately, distinct interests and goals. These interests and goals sometimes diverge.
To give voice to the interests of the group as a whole, the steering committee overseeing the activities of the individual companies grew into a shared Helm that charted the group’s course with a broader unified vision.
This unified vision continues to guide the group today across several markets and areas of industry where efficiencies are inextricably tied to outcome. Never losing sight of the big picture to ascertain, through careful calculation, which of the choices before us will yield the greater good.

BUSINESS LINES
General Contracting
Our main contracting entities have successfully delivered a diverse portfolio of public works projects ranging from highways and infrastructure, road works, bridges, tunnels, railway, airports, marine ports, dams and retention ponds to athletic and health care facilities, residential and commercial development projects spanning over 3 continents. Our Primes bring to any infrastructure project a wealth of engineering experience and construction expertise forged in diverse parts of the Arabian Gulf.
Tunneling and Drilling
Fullbore is a specialized contractor providing tunneling, utility and non-invasive pipeline services. Fullbore’s principals and key personnel are veterans of this field with over 24 years experience in this specialized area. Fullbore relies on state of the art equipment and cuttingedge technology from industry leaders such as Herrenknecht, IBAK and Prokasro to deliver results right the first time. We have invested heavily in our plant to mitigate the risk of human error in this challenging area of construction.
Fleet Management and Transport
HUMMB manages the HELM group plant, machinery, and vehicle fleet, including the purchase and hire of PMV for the group and the maintenance, servicing and repair of the fleet. HMB operates under strict guidelines to minimize the environmental impact of its fleet. Careful implementation of waste disposal processes ensures that the hazards posed by the chemcals, fuels, oils and lubricants utilized in our operations are limited.
Paving and Surfacing
QAP and GAP are our group’s paving solutions specialists. Our talented engineers control every step in the process from the mix-design, sourcing of aggregate and binder materials, batching in our calibrated plants, transport and delivery at the required laying temperatures to the GPS guided and laser sensor laying, compaction and finishing. To mitigate the environmental impact of our paving activities, all our plants are capable of producing hot mix asphalts from recycled pavements and binders that reuse rubber. All our rolling and finishing equipment are new, certified and maintained in accordance with a rigorous around the clock maintenance regimen and fitted with the latest technology to ensure quality and reduce environmental impact. The Wirtgen Group is our supply chain partner in the Arabian Gulf.
Readymix and Precast
Qoncrete specializes in the production of precast and readymix concrete products. Our readymix team supply and deliver various types of concrete mixes to meet specified requirements. Our precast team manufacture elements to order and our construction team manage any on-site concrete works at our customer locations. Qoncrete’s IMER Readymix Concrete Plants, HESS Block Plant and a fleet of new MAN 8x4 Transit Mixers designed to operate in high temperatures, high humidity and dusty conditions.
Quarrying and Aggregate Production
Toprok specializes in the production of aggregate, bound and unbound mix materials. Toprok has the resources and experience to design and deploy the required processing lines to produce, and supply various sizes of crushed aggregate, bound and unbound mix materials as per National and International standards or our customer’s specific requirements. GIPO is our supply chain partner in the Arabian Gulf.
Agriculture
RAI is an investment vehicle based in Romania whose mission is the establishment of a sustainable integrated agribusiness as part of a food security program in the Arabian Gulf. Thus far, it has successfully developed two links in the integrated chain under Agro-Pain D’Or (APD), a grain and oilseed farm producing wheat, barley, soybean, corn, rapeseed and sunflower seed across 3000 hectares with an expansion plan to triple its cultivated surface area and Cassa Dom Opt, a crop storage and logistics facility with its own railway station on the line connecting the inland community in which it operates to Romania’s seaport. RAI has already made strides in securing a platform for livestock rearing and dairy farming alongside the required permits for biomass energy.
