DESIGN, BUILD, OPERATE AND MAINTAIN MUSAIMEER PUMPING STATION AND OUTFALL

The Musaimeer Pumping Station was designed and built to receive flows from the Abu Hamour catchment area and convey these flows through an outfall tunnel that extends from the pumping station to a distance of 10km offshore. The MPSO is a 19.7m3/sec wet well pumping station with ten 3.3kV submersible pumps and motors emptying into a 10km long 3.7m diameter marine tunnel outfall including an 84 port diffuser field. The project included all the support facilities such as electrical, hydraulic and mechanical rooms, laboratory, control room, offices and living quarters.
